The Week Ahead: Smoking Shelters, a Town Hall and Football

A look ahead at some of what's going on around Creve Coeur Patch this week.

For some in Creve Coeur, Monday is the start of the first full week of school. For others, including Whitfield and Priory families, there's still a little time left in that summer vacation.

Monday night, meets after a closed work session to address issues real estate, personnel or legal matters as allowed under the state's open meetings law. In open session, members are expected to discuss an ordinance brewing since this summer to allow which would not violate the city's stepped-up ban on smoking.

Council members are not scheduled to move forward yet on a possible ordinance which would allow residents to legally keep backyard chickens. The issue was brought up after inquiries by some residents. The city is now asking for the public's feedback on the subject through a survey.

Tuesday morning, Creve Coeur area State Represenative Jill Schupp holds a breakfast with constituents at . She'll bring people up to speed on what's going on in Jefferson City.
