Creve Coeur Police are warning you to be on the lookout for runners near the Missouri Baptist University campus and the Mercy Hospital campus.

The Creve Coeur Police put out the following traffic advisory earlier this week ahead of Missouri Baptist University's 5K "Run For Ronald", taking place Saturday morning:

The Creve Coeur Police Department urges motorists to use caution on Conway Road on Saturday, November 10 due to a 5K run benefiting the Ronald McDonald House.

The run will start on the campus of Missouri Baptist University and proceed east on Conway Road to Williamsburg Road. It will proceed through the Williamsburg subdivision and then east on Conway Road to the campus of Mercy Hospital. The race finishes at the site of the Ronald McDonald House. The event will start at 8 a.m. and should be completed by 10 a.m.

Police officers, University officials and race volunteers will be positioned throughout the course to assist race participants and motorists. All personnel will be wearing traffic safety vests.

“We hope that motorists will be patient and cautious, watching for runners as they drive in this area on Saturday” said Sgt. Tim Koncki. “There should be minimal interruption to normal traffic.”

A Missouri Baptist University update on the event, which also includes a walking component indicates that strollers will be allowed on the race course. Post-race activities at the Ronald McDonald House will include breakfast, an awards assembly and tours of the facility.

Proceeds of the event also benefit students in Missouri Baptist's Health and Sport Sciences Division.
