Viewfinder: Ribbon Cut At Realigned Olive Blvd./Graeser Rd. Intersection

Project two decades in the making nearly complete.

For 25 years, the intersection at Olive Blvd., Graeser Rd. and Dautel Lane has been a source of controversy in Creve Coeur.

Lingering safety concerns in the area, and eventually Walgreens' desire to move to a new location have now come to fruition, with Saturday's ribbon-cutting on the intersection. The street light has been operational for more than a month, and the store opened May 13.

There are still two to three weeks of work left on the project.

Coming Monday: Most of the project is complete, the store is open, but there is still controversy about how it was funded and why it is overbudget.
