Jerome Timmermann Earns Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® Designation

Jerome "Jerry" Timmermann has earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) professional designation from the Richard D. Irwin Graduate School of The American College, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. The CAP® program provides professionals in the non-profit and financial services fields that work with individuals and families in the development and implementation of philanthropic programs with the knowledge and tools needed to help clients reach their charitable giving objectives, while also helping them meet their estate planning and wealth management goals.

The curriculum addresses issues of advanced design, implementation, and management of charitable gift techniques and strategies, as well as philanthropic tools including charitable trusts, private foundations, supporting organizations, donor-advised funds, pooled income funds and charitable gift annuities. Less than 1,000 individuals have been awarded the CAP® designation since its inception in 2003.

Jerry started his business, The Timmermann Group, 32 years ago. His primary focus is working with high net worth individuals to accumulate, protect, distribute, and enjoy their financial assets. Areas of expertise are Estate Planning, Financial Planning, Asset Protection, and Risk Reward Management.

Jerry is a 31 year life and qualifying member of the Million-Dollar Round Table*, 10 year Top of the Table member, Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), and AEP®.
Jerry is a current member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, a past member of the Kaskaskia College Foundation, a past board member of the East Side Underwriters, past president of the Breese Chamber of Commerce, and past chairperson for Planned Giving for St. Joseph’s Hospital. In addition, Jerry actively participates in many local, civic, and charitable organizations.
