Staging Helps Homes Sell

Homes for sale often benefit from staging. See pictures of a new home for sale in the Creve Coeur area that was staged.

When buyers walk into a home, they try to imagine themselves living in the home.

Vacant homes are sometimes hard for buyers to imagine filled with furniture. Other homes have an odd layout and buyers might have trouble imagining where they will place furniture.

Another advantage of staging in vacant homes is that it can focus the buyer on the overall feel of a room rather than having them notice dated features or less than perfect moldings, paint and flooring.

While staging does not change the actual condition of a home, it can help buyers get that warm fuzzy feeling that leads to a contract offer.

The Arch City Homes Team just listed a home in the Creve Coeur area that really benefited from staging. While the house has a great floor plan and is in very good condition, it lacked warmth when you walked around the empty rooms. Staging has resulted in pictures that should draw in buyers and result in a fast contract offer.
