Changes at Parkway Northeast Middle School

Parkway Northeast Middle School welcomes two new assistant principals and makes changes to electronic device policy.

This summer my husband and I have been giving our sixteen-year-old home a bit of a facelift.

We power-washed and painted the exterior of our home and then decided to move inside and paint our ceilings—something that hasn’t happened since we moved into our home in December, 1996. Our house looks and smells new again!

In addition to cleaning and painting, we’ve also made a few changes to our home. We are taking down the wallpaper in our master bathroom and we have swapped out our exterior lighting and some of our interior lighting for styles that are more representative of the year 2012 as opposed to the 1990’s.

is getting a bit of a facelift this summer, too. Now that Summer School is over, the painters will be cleaning up the lockers and giving them a fresh coat of paint and the custodians have been working hard at cleaning carpets, furniture, and classrooms.

And, just as there are changes at the Brandon home, there are also some changes happening at Northeast.

As many of you know, Mr. Beckner is leaving Northeast to become Parkway’s assessment coordinator and . We wish both Mr. Beckner and Mr. Senti much success in their new Parkway roles!

Mrs. Grace Lee, Ed. D. has been hired to take Mr. Beckner’s position as the 7th grade principal and Mr. Derek Scott will be taking Mr. Senti’s position as the 8th grade principal.

In August, you will notice a change that the Parkway School District is making to its District and school Websites. They are streamlining everything so that parents who have children at more than one school will be able to more efficiently access information for all their children.

In addition to this change in technology, at Northeast, we have updated our Electronic Device Policy. Please take some time prior to the start of the new school year to review this policy with your child and discuss the importance of using technology in a responsible manner.

It’s always exciting preparing for a new school year!

Enjoy July—August 14, will be here before we know it!

Sincerely,

Kim Brandon
