"History of Music" Concert Rocks the Arch
Music event highlights national convention; open to public
Some notable music acts with ties to St. Louis, including Michael McDonald and Erin Bode, will perform at this weekend's "History of Music" concert Saturday, August 6 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. under the Arch. The free concert serves as the Opening Celebration for the national meeting of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), but is open to the public.
As a staffer of the Creve Coeur-based (AOA), I will be attending this meeting, both as a volunteer for the St. Louis Convention & Visitor's Commission during Saturday night's concert and as a delegate on Sunday, August 7. Tina Brown of the Daily Beast is the keynote speaker Sunday morning. I should have some great notes and pictures from the meeting, which will bring about 5,000 key association decision-makers and vendors to St. Louis.
Several innovative events for attendees, including a dog biscuit baking session, will benefit Stray Rescue of St. Louis. I and my fellow volunteers look forward to showing ASAE attendees our famous Midwest hospitality!
