ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Missouri Baptist University junior Maddy Hammack was announced today as the American Midwest Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Hammack had a huge week that will likely draw attention for the national award. During the week, she posted a .339 attack percentage while recording 96 kills in seven matches. The St. Louis native also notched 40 digs to go along with six aces and eight blocks.
Hammack led the Spartans to a 7-0 week, extending the team’s undefeated season to 13 matches. On Saturday, the outside hitter broke her career-high of 19 kills in a match by recording 21 against Avila University. Just hours later, she broke it again with 27 kills against University of St. Mary.

The weekend numbers vaulted Hammack to No. 6 in the NAIA in kills/set. She leads the AMC in that category as well.
