Mercy Hospital Opens New Gift Shop and Pharmacy

Whether shopping for a baby gift, a special birthday gift for someone at home or picking up a prescription, the new Mercy Gift Shop and Pharmacy has it all.

Whether shopping for a baby gift, a special birthday gift for someone at home or picking up a prescription, the new Mercy Gift Shop and Pharmacy has it all. Opened July 5, the new combined location in the main lobby of Mercy Hospital St. Louis is convenient for patients, visitors and co-workers.

“We are so excited about the new area,” said Laura Sease, administration with Mercy Hospital St. Louis overseeing the project.  “Having a combined gift shop and pharmacy offers our patients, families, visitors and co-workers a ‘one-stop shop.’"

The look, feel and flow of the new shop is considered a prototype for future stores across Mercy, and the combination gift shop and pharmacy will be considered on a project-by-project basis.

The expanded area offers 5,000 square feet of shopping experience, lending more space for new product lines and an enhanced selection of current items.  Custom floral designs and arrangements will be available on site, women’s apparel and accessories, expanded children’s games, toys and activities, new mom specialty products, a greater selection of gift items for men and a new selection of candies.

Other amenities of the new area include:

  • Personalization of items, including vinyl cutting, printing of gift cards, baby announcements, party announcements and monogramming.
  • Continued outpatient prescription services for patients and co-workers, so no need to stop at another pharmacy.

“On the pharmacy side we will offer an expanded selection of over-the-counter items in the new area,” said Pat Berry, R.Ph, director of Retail Pharmacy, Mercy St. Louis.  “A pharmacist will be available to answer questions related to those items plus respond to any medicine-related questions.”

The pharmacy located in Mercy Doctors Building Tower A will remain open.
