Wright City Firefighter District BBQ and Helmet Drive to Raise Money for Mercy Burn Center
Proceeds from Wright City Fire District Helmet Drive and BBQ will benefit the Burn Center at Mercy Hospital St. Louis and Burns Recovered Support Group.
Firefighters with the Wright City Fire Protection District will host a BBQ and Helmet Drive at Elm and 2nd streets all day on May 11 and 12. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Burn Center at and Burns Recovered Support Group.
The donations to Mercy help provide burn patients with after-care garments and patient education at no cost as well as education for nurses.
The Burn Center at Mercy Hospital is the only specialized burn treatment facility in the St. Louis region. Patients with thermal, chemical, electrical, hypothermic and/or smoke-inhalation injuries are treated by a multidisciplinary team.
