Kohn's Kosher Deli Founder Simon Kohn Dies At Age 88

Simon Kohn died Tuesday, July 2, 2013, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. A service was held Wednesday at a cemetery in Ladue.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that Simon Kohn died Tuesday, July 2, 2013, after a long illness. Simon Kohn founded the kosher deli and restaurant, which is now located at 10405 Old Olive Street Rd, in 1963 and it has been in its Creve Coeur location since the 1970s.

Kohn's Kosher Deli is now operated by Simon's daughter, Rosemary Cooper, and son, Lenny, according to the article.

A service was held Wednesday at Beth Hamedrosh Hagodol Cemetery in Ladue, according to the article. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Family and Children's Service, the St. Louis Holocaust Museum and Learning Center and Barbara Mendelson Tomchei Shabbos.
