Remembering Brandon Hsueh

Brandon Hsueh, the 13 year-old student after suffering critical injuries Wednesday, will be remembered at events this week.

Brandon was hurt in a car accident while he was practicing with his cross country team off campus. 

His funeral was held Monday morning at the  in Clayton. Hsueh was a student at St. Michael prior to enrolling at Priory. He was mourned by a capacity crowd which heard his father, Dr. Eddy Hsueh, talk about a boy who would often share his pencils with those who asked, content with what he had when given the chance to upgrade to a newer gadget.

Reverend Andrew John Archie praised his creativity and artwork, which was on display for a reception afterward.

School at Priory was not in session Monday because of a previously scheduled staff development day. A memorial mass will be held at at 8:15 a.m Friday.

As Patch, the school community was scheduled to gather Sunday to help students and families cope.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch recounted how Hsueh's cross country teammates honored his memory on Saturday, by winning the Priory Invitational. They did so rattling packages of tic-tacs, one of Brandon's favorites.
