Five Things You'll Want To See This Week At Creve Coeur Patch

For many of you, it's time to say "Welcome Back" to Creve Coeur Patch after spring break. Hard to believe that spring break coincided with snow for those of us who stayed here, isn't it? Special thanks to Jenny Herner for sharing this picture from her snowy weekend. Here's a sneak peek at Five Things we plan on bringing you this week.

1. Brad Beal Back In The National Spotlight: The senior guard is in Chicago this week, selected to participate in the McDonald's All American Game, which will be televised on ESPN Wednesday night. We're working with our Patch friends in the Windy City to take you behind the scenes, including a skills competition Monday night, televised on ESPN2.

2. Counting Down To Election Day: Monday's Creve Coeur City Council meeting is the last one before next Tuesday's elections. Click here to read our final council race profile. Be sure to check out our Election Preview, coming Thursday.

3. Wednesdays Mean Whiz Kids: Do you know someone special making a difference in the classroom or in the community? Maybe your daughter or grandson went on a service learning trip over spring break and spread some cheer for those in need. Tell us about their key to awesomeness via email- Gregg.Palermo@patch.com.

4. Baseball's Opening Day: Weather permitting, Thursday marks a rite of spring with opening day for the St. Louis Cardinals.
