A few weeks ago in this space,
Many of those who responded said they were targeting soda. I did too. I got a late start--I made the decision a day after Ash Wednesday...but for the first time in quite a while, I was able to stick with it. No soda. Zip. Nada. Zilch.
I actually had a dream that I had some a few weeks ago. Other than that, I can't say I missed it. How did I cope? Tea, Gatorade, Hi-C, fruit punch and water.
Now that I think about it, I'm not sure my sugar levels went down all that much. But at least I can say that I stuck to my guns.
