What You Can Expect From Creve Coeur Patch The Week Of April 11, 2011

Brad Beal, Post-election impact and Passover are all part of what's ahead this week.

There's a lot to look forward to this week at Creve Coeur Patch. Our goal here is to peel back the curtain just a bit and to give you something of a roadmap.

With last week's now in the rear mirror, we'll be out covering new school boards in the Parkway and Pattonville school districts. The new board for Ladue schools could make a decision Monday about the direction the district will take with the Westminster Christian Academy campus in Creve Coeur. We'll have coverage of that decision Tuesday.

Creve Coeur voters elected two new members to city council, but Charlotte D'Alfonso and Scott Saunders will not be sworn in until the next meeting in late April. Monday night will mark the final meeting for Robert Haddenhorst, who D'Alfonso defeated in Ward 3, and Ward 4's Laura Bryant, who is leaving council because of term limits after 10 years in office.

Wednesday is the day we highlight Whiz Kids in Creve Coeur. We want to hear about the great kids doing outstanding things in the classroom and in the community. Email me at Gregg.Palermo@patch.com with their stories!

This week marks the start of Passover, and on Thursday, we'll have recipe ideas in our latest installment of Patch Picks.

In the sports world, we've been out sampling the spring competition, so we'll have coverage from the water, the baseball diamond and beyond. We'll also continue to follow the fun ride 's Brad Beal must be having. He spent the weekend in Portland, Oregon representing team USA at a Nike event and will be in Charlotte, North Carolina later this week for the Jordan Brand Classic along with his coach, Kelvin Lee.

As usual, we've got a few surprises up our sleeve, so be sure to check back with us throughout the week.
