Police: Gun Stolen At Creve Coeur Car Wash

Creve Coeur Police said a Waterway employee stole a revolver from the center console of a car.

Creve Coeur Police said an employee of an area car wash stole a handgun from a customer's vehicle November 2.

Micah G. Davis, 18, of the 1200 block of Billings Drive in North St. Louis County, was charged the same day with stealing a firearm.

Police said a man took his car to Waterway Car Wash at 10559 Old Olive Street Road in and Davis took possession of his car first. When the man retrieved his car after it was cleaned, his American Arms .22 cal revolver was missing from the center console.

Davis was arrested, and police said he confessed to taking the handgun. Davis told police he hid the firearm on a shelf in an employee’s restroom. The handgun was recovered.

Bail was set at $7,500 for Davis.
