City Cops Arrest Suspect After Robbery at First Bank

Creve Coeur police reported arresting a suspect following a robbery at a First Bank branch on Olive Boulevard.

Creve Coeur police arrested a suspect after a bank robbery at about 1 p.m. today, police said in a statement. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that the robbery was at the First Bank at a Dierbergs grocery at 11481 Olive Blvd.

Here's the full statement from the Creve Coeur Police Department:

Today, at approximately 1:00 pm the Creve Coeur Police Department received a call of a bank robbery in the 11400 block of Olive Blvd. Upon arrival, officers determined that the bank had been robbed of an undetermined amount of money.

A weapon was implied by the suspect. There were no injuries and the suspect left the scene in a vehicle. 

Officers who were responding to the area saw a vehicle occupied by a man matching the description given to police.

Officers stopped the vehicle and determined that the subject occupying the vehicle was the man who robbed the bank. The subject was arrested and is currently being held pending application of warrants. 

The FBI and Creve Coeur Police continue to investigate this incident.
