Cleaning Woman Stole Computers From Medical Office, Police Say

The woman has been charged with the thefts from Esse Medical office in Creve Coeur.

A woman who worked for a cleaning service stole three computers from a medical office in Creve Coeur, police said.

Ebony Evans, 23, of the 8100 block of Airport Road in Berkeley, was charged Jan. 17 with felony stealing.

Creve Coeur Police said Evans worked for a company that cleaned the office building at 11630 Studt Avenue in Creve Coeur. The Esse Medical office reported three laptop computers stolen between 8:30 p.m. Oct. 9 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 10.

The computers were valued at a total of $9,000.

Two of the computers were recovered at a Hazelwood residence where Evans’ occasional roommate lives.

Bail has been set at $15,000 for Evans.
