Creve Coeur Patrolman Remembered On National Peace Officers Memorial Day

It's a day to recognize law enforcement officers, including a Creve Coeur patrolman, who died in the line of duty. Are you doing anything to honor fallen officers?

In Creve Coeur, a plaque hangs in the lobby of the Police department to remember Patrolman Larry D. Howard, who died on duty March 24, 1968. Howard, 24, was driving eastbound on Ladue Road when his vehicle was hit at Lindbergh Boulevard. He was a two-year veteran of the department.

Are you doing anything special Wednesday to commemorate the national day of recognition? Is there a law enforcement officer you think deserves to be recognized for his or her service? If so, please post it in the comments box below.
