Creve Coeur Man Charged with Silverware Theft

Man stole items to fund his methamphetamine addiction, police say.

A Creve Coeur man was charged Wednesday with stealing 32 pieces of silverware valued at $3,000.

Randall Dover, 52, of the 600 block of Coeur de Royale Drive is charged with stealing the items Nov. 1 from the victim, who lives in the same condominium complex. Dover had a key because he fed the woman’s cats while she was away and did repair work for her, said in a report.

According to the police report, Dover told police he stole the silverware to get money to pay for methamphetamine.
