Creve Coeur Man Dead In Scooter Crash

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports Dorman Pentecost died Monday night.

A Creve Coeur man was ejected from the scooter he was driving Monday night on Interstate 270 near the Washington/Elizabeth exit when he was struck from behind by another vehicle.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Dorman Pentecost, 47, was pronounced dead by the St. Louis County Medical Examiner at approximately 10:20 p.m. Monday.

According to the Highway Patrol website, Pentecost's scooter was traveling westbound at a slow rate of speed because of mechanical problems when he was struck.

Both vehicles involved sustained extensive damage. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
