A Creve Coeur Police officer is being credited for an April 13 traffic stop which led to a felony drug possession arrest.

According to police, Officer Michael Deutman stopped a car at Conway Road and Ballas Road after dispatchers received a call of an erratic driver. The driver of the car, police said, fell asleep during conversation. The vehicle also smelled of marijuana. Police said a search of the vehicle revealed a loaded .45 caliber handgun, what was believed to be marijuana “and 50 individually wrapped brownies and other cereal type desserts,” police said.

The suspect was arrested on a felony drug possession count and police said the suspect confessed that the food was laced with marijuana.
