Emergency crews responded to the 11000 block of Lakeshore Drive just before 8 p.m.  for a report of a man who was lost or missing. The man's wife said he had gone out to walk the family's dog. An officer located the man, who was not identified, roughly 100 yards from home conscious, but "semi-coherent" according to a police statement late Wednesday. Police believe the man fell down a 12 foot embankment into 12 inches of water. Officers covered the man with their jackets and blankets from a nearby home until fire crews transported him to St. John's Mercy Medical Center for treatment.
