Creve Coeur Police Investigate Spit & Run
One of the alleged victims was a pregnant office manager.
Creve Coeur Police were recently called to look for a man who reportedly spit on two car repair shop employees when he wasn't happy with his bill.
Police said the "irate" customer was at the shop at 12906 Olive Boulevard on Thursday.
Midas' Assistant Manager Mike Massmann told Patch the customer was upset because the store no longer accepted checks and thought they were holding his vehicle against him.

Massman said the shop went to the no-checks accepted policy in January after having 3-4 bad checks late last year. He said the spitting incident happened when the customer left and returned with his mother with cash for the transaction. As Massman handed over the receipt, the man spat and cursed at him, with the projectile also reaching a pregnant office manager at the shop.
Legally, it adds up to an assault charge. Massman said this has never happened to him before.

A police clerk said the suspect was arrested and charged in the case. That information was not yet available via Missouri Casenet late Monday night.
