Federal Sentencing Delay For Former Parkway Central Basketball Coach

Last year, Brent Woody entered a guilty plea on a count transporting a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

A former basketball coach who was set to be sentenced Thursday on a federal count of transporting a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity will now wait until February to learn his fate.

Brent Woody issued a guilty plea in federal court back in October. Under federal sentencing guidelines, he could face 10 years to life in prison, and/or a fine of up to $250,000, as well as supervised release for life.

Authorities say Woody had a sexual relationship with a 15-year old student.
