FOX2 VIDEO: Progress Seen In Heroin Education

Ladue Schools co-sponsored Monday night community forum.

A forum on the rise in heroin use in the St. Louis area happened Monday night at , FOX2-TV reported.

The Ladue and Brentwood school districts also sponsored the event.

Quoting the FOX2 report, "St. Louis County Police chief Tim Fitch says at this time last year there were 24 heroin-related deaths in St. Louis County and this year there have been eight."

It's a possible sign that the massive publicity campaign, which has included forums held in school districts across the region, including Parkway and Pattonville, are starting to make a dent, one participant told FOX2.
