Man Charged with Computer Theft from Life Skills Agency

The computer equipment was stolen in November from the not-for-profit agency.

A Maryland Heights man was charged Thursday with burglary and stealing computer equipment valued at $18,195 from Life Skills, a Creve Coeur-based not-for-profit agency.

The agency helps people with developmental disabilities develop skills and find employment.

said in a report that Paul Slayton, 32, of the 200 block of Canakin Court in Maryland Heights, used a key card to illegally enter the Life Skills building at 10716 Corporate Square Drive on Nov. 14 or Nov. 15 and stole the equipment.

Slayton was arrested in February by Kirkwood Police after a traffic stop.
