One Person In Burn Unit After Monday Morning Fire

Monarch Fire Protection District, Creve Coeur Police and St. Louis County Police are all investigating.

Authorities have not yet released the cause of a fire which caused the most damage in a Creve Coeur living room Monday morning, sending at least one person to a local hospital burn unit.

Crews responded to 12958 Fernway Lane around 8 a.m. with a report of victims still trapped inside the home. When they arrived they said they found two people outside, one having pulled the other out. Two other people live in the home but were not there at the time of the fire.

A man who identified himself as the homeowner said his son and a friend were inside when it happened, and that his son's friend was the one taken to a burn unit.
