Police Blotter: Burglaries and Stolen Deodorant

A rundown of the activity investigated last week by Creve Coeur Police.

The following cases were reported by between January 23 and January 29, 2012.

 

January 23, 2012: Attempt Burglary 12000 blk of Town & Four. A Suspect tried to enter through a rear sliding door but was scared off by residents. Police say the case is related to a total of 8 burglaries in the complex since last month. In each case, suspects are getting in through unlocked sliding rear doors, without force. Residents are encouraged to lock their patio doors, even those on the second floor.

January 24 2012: Burglary 1st, degree. Suspect climbed on an air conditioning unit to reach second floor deck, and gained entry through an open sliding door. The victim's purse is missing.

January 26, 2012: Police arrested a shoplifting suspect and also arrested the person for possession of drug paraphernalia. Police say the suspect stole 5 2-packs of deodorant and an air freshner from .

January 26, 2012: Police were called to the 12000 blk of Maison Ladue for a burglary just discovered, when the Victim found mud tracked throughout an apartment. The suspect came and went through a sliding glass door while a resident was asleep.

January 27, 2012: Police responded to the 12000 blk Winrock for a report of a burglary. Forced entry was made through the side garage door and the unlocked interior garage door. 

January 28, 2012: A resident in the 1000 blk of Rue la Ville Walk,  reported her apartment was burglarized between 1700 hours and 2300 hours. Entry and exit apparently was made off of Town and Four through an unlocked sliding door. 

January 29, 2012: A purse was reported stolen from the third floor nurse's station at on January 28. The victim told police there were credit cards, a driver's license, and a social security card in the purse.
