Creve Coeur Police are putting the word out. This week, officers will be paying special attention to children who are not buckled up.
The department announced it will join other agencies in a special enforcement campaign in conjunction with Child Passenger Safety Week. In Creve Coeur, that means "all children under the age of eight to be in an appropriate child safety seat or booster seat unless they are 80 lbs or 4’9” tall," according to a police news release.
Suburban Journals reported that a campaign last year yielded 271 tickets in Creve Coeur alone.
