POLICE LOG: A Gas Drive Off, Brass Knuckles And Tax Fraud

The Creve Coeur Police investigated the following cases for the week of March 26.

The following narrative is provided directly by the

3/26/12-

Received a call to respond to Circle K for a gas drive off.  Driver left without paying for $82.00 in gas.

Patrol officers arrested subject for operating a stolen car. The vehicle, a 1996 Ford Explorer, was reported stolen by STL County.

3/27/12

iPhone reported stolen from office in 900 blk. of Executive Parkway. Recovered and returned to owner.

A motorcycle that had been stolen from CityPlace in November was recovered by patrol officers after it was located at Olive and 270. The driver was arrested and confessed to leading MSHP on a high speed pursuit on 270 the day before.

3/28/12

Subject arrested for 28 counts of Fraudulently Obtaining a Controlled Substance.  He had been wanted since November. Released pending application for warrants.

3/30/12

Sudden death on Williamsburg. 84 year old resident passed away apparently of natural causes.

Identity theft report from resident on West Walling. Victim alerted to fact that someone tried to use his identity for file a tax return.

A subject was arrested at for Poss. of an Illegal Weapon (5" Knife w/Brass Knuckles), Poss. of Marijuana, and Poss. of Drug Paraphernalia

A driver was arrested for DWI- Drug Intoxication after he was observed knocking down  the traffic signal at Olive and Tempo by an alert officer.  He was also in possession of controlled substance believed to be heroin and drug paraphernalia.  He was released pending warrant application
