Police Log: A Stolen "Beemer", Yanked Yard Art and Lots of Unlocked Cars
A roundup of criminal activity investigated by Creve Coeur Police between July 16-July 22.
July 16
were notified that sometime between July 14 and July 15, a metal heron, measuring 16 inches tall was taken from a yard in the 700 block of Champeix Lane. It was valued at approximately $40.

Creve Coeur Police received a report at that a blue 2003 BMW 745I had been stolen during the last four days from the customer.

Creve Coeur Police received several calls for attempted stealing in the areas of Mosley Forest Drive, Mosely Farm Court, Mosley Road, Coeur De Royale Drive and Magna Carta Drive. In each case, suspects got into a car that was unlocked and "rummaged" through the vehicle. In the Mosley Farm Court case, police said a bag was taken which included "miscellaneous work items."
July 20
Creve Coeur Police investigated three cases of gas drive-offs from the same station, the Circle K at 11077 Olive Boulevard. In one case, it was discovered that a credit card transaction did not work properly and the customer paid with cash, while there are no leads in connection with the other incidents.
