POLICE LOG: Embezzlement, A Crane Accident and Breaking Into Soda Machines

Suspect arrested in connection with checks stolen from an apartment where he worked as a caretaker. Suspect released on a summons.

Identity theft report. Victim reported credit card number was used numerous times in 7 days to the same website without authorization. 

4/17/12

A four month long embezzlement case completed with the arrest of a suspect. The investigation began in December and originated from a business on Executive Parkway. The suspect was released pending the application of warrants.

Auto accident was witnessed by St Louis Co PD while on a traffic stop on I-270.  Vehicle was traveling south on Coeur De Ville and ran off the right side of the road in front of . It took down the fence and the traffic mirror on the east side of the road.  The vehicle ended up on its side in the culvert between Coeur De Ville/I270. The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Fire Department.  The suspect was transported to and admitted for non-life threatening injuries. 

4/18/12

Leaving the scene of an accident on westbound Olive at Interstate 270. Vehicle #1 was heading west on Olive. Vehicle #1 is described as a Red older model pickup truck. The driver has been identified; the investigation is continuing.

4/19/12

  McCarthy's 70 ton crane lost balance and rolled over on the property of Mercy Hospital at Muckerman and Baggot near the parking garages. Two McCarthy workers were injured and taken to the ER. None of the injuries was life threatening

Responded for a Stealing at 12465 Olive (). Office Manager advised that two soda machines were broken into between 04/16-4/18.

4/20/12

Responded to 12300 blk. of Ladue Woods for a report of identity theft.  The reporting party stated her credit card number was used without authorization.  Referred to investigations.

2 juveniles involved in an altercation in the 9900 blk. of Coddington Way. Juvenile officer to handle follow-up.

4/21/12

Assault and disturbance in 1100 blk. of Town & Four. Both subjects claimed defensive injuries and declined to prosecute the other. Parties were separated.  Report to be referred to PA for further review. 

Domestic violence call in 800 blk. of N. Spoede. One subject was arrested and held on bond.
