Police Log: Stolen Baby Monitor & Identity Theft

The following cases were among those investigated by Creve Coeur Police between March 24-March 30.

Creve Coeur Police report that during the week, a total of 20 people came forward to claim they were victims of identity theft, with out of state charges showing up in their bank accounts. A police spokesman said it was too early in the investigation to say they were all tied to the recent security breach reported at Schnucks grocery stores.

A Nikon Coolpix camera was reported missing from Creve Coeur Camera.

March 29

  • CVS reported the "internal" theft of cigarettes.
  • Someone attempted to use a forged check at PNC Bank to access funds. Police will not disclose the dollar amount involved.

March 27

Police arrested a subject at Once Upon A Child for being in possession of stolen property. Authorities say the person was trying to sell a baby monitor.
