Police: Not Ok To Pick Up Trash At 3:47 In The Morning

Creve Coeur Police issued a summons for a waste hauler trying to pick up a load before dawn.

Creve Coeur Police issued a summons to an employee of Republic Services (formerly Allied Waste), for being a bit too eager on the job. Police say the trash hauler was trying to pick up a load at AMC 12 Theatre on May 24 at 3:47 a.m.

Just two days earlier, at a forum regarding the future of the city's residential trash service, residents complained that Republic crews were out before 7 a.m., the earliest they're allowed to collect.

City officials encouraged people to call police with complaints.
