The announced late Monday afternoon that a 67 year-old woman who was the passenger in a Sunday afternoon car crash on Sackston Woods Lane, had died.
A police press release said that authorities received a 9-1-1 call for a report of a car that left the road and struck a tree.
The woman and the driver, a 91 year-old man, were both extricated from the vehicle and taken to. The driver was released from the hospital, but authorities are witholding his name "due to the open investigation," according to Monday's statement.
The identity of the deceased passenger is being withheld pending notification of kin.
