Severe Weather: Tornado Activity Strikes St. Louis County

Ameren reports hundreds without power in Creve Coeur overnight.

Warm temperatures helped generate fierce severe weather conditions in St. Louis County late Sunday and early Monday morning, producing tornado warnings, reports of spotter-confirmed tornado activity and downed power lines across the area, according to multiple news outlets, including the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. A check of Ameren UE's online Power Outage map showed that in the Creve Coeur area, more than 900 customers were without power, at  1 a.m. Monday.

The reported business as usual for the most part, with reports of lines down, but no major calls and no injuries. The did report a handful of residential fires in the Country Manor area late Sunday, but said they were under control.
