Woman Steals Mother's Car From Missouri Baptist University Campus, Police Say

Creve Coeur Police said Khirsten L. Crawford was arrested three months later, driving the stolen car in the city of St. Louis.

A woman is charged with stealing her mother’s car from the Missouri Baptist University campus in Creve Coeur.

Khirsten L. Crawford, 20, of the 1700 block of Woodstream Drive in Spanish Lake, was charged Aug. 5 with stealing a motor vehicle.

Creve Coeur Police said Crawford’s mother works at Missouri Baptist University. On April 18, Crawford asked to borrow her mother’s jacket to go to the campus bookstore. Her mother agreed, and shortly thereafter, Crawford returned with the jacket.

When her mother prepared to go home from work, she could not locate her keys, which had been in her jacket pocket, police said. She discovered her 2005 Nissan Altima also was missing.

Three months later, Crawford was arrested driving her mother’s car in the city of St. Louis.

Bail was set at $10,000 for Crawford.
