Board of Adjustment Won't Hear Senior Living Request Thursday

Developers of a Creve Coeur project proposed for Lindbergh Boulevard requested the delay so they can present an updated plan to neighboring residents.

Developers behind a plan for a 50,000 square foot Assisted Living/Memory Care facility where the Tealwood Square shopping center now sits in Creve Coeur will not present their case for a variance in front of the Creve Coeur Board of Adjustment Thursday night.

The request for a continuance, the second for this project, comes after representatives of Tealwood Acquisitions LLC met with neighboring residents last week, leading to compromise and changes to plans for the 50,000 square foot site.

In a letter requesting a delay until the Board of Adjustment's October meeting, the project's engineer said there would be a second meeting later this month with residents to present an updated site plan.

A representative has said one of the changes incorporated into the project would be the elimination of access to the site via Beaver Drive. Neighboring residents have expressed concerns about traffic in addition to what might happen if a resident at the facility wandered off the Lindbergh Boulevard site.

Plans for the facility have not been submitted for review by the Creve Coeur Planning and Zoning Commission or the City Council.
