Is Fountain Park Part of the Next City Strategic Plan? Council To Hear Feedback on Capital Projects

Creve Coeur's City Council meeting is being held Tuesday because of Passover.

Tuesday night will be the public's chance to learn more about the city of Creve Coeur's coming Capital Improvement Plan for the next five years.

From the City of Creve Coeur's announcement of the 7:30 p.m. public hearing:

"The CIP is the city's long-range plan for improvements to infrastructure, parks and other community facilities. The plan is a tool to assess the long-term capital needs, values and desires of the city and to establish funding of high-priority projects in a timely, cost-effective manner."

The council will review the CIP in a work session starting at 6 p.m.

In the regularly scheduled meeting at 7:30 p.m., council members will also hold first reading on a resolution for the city's Strategic Plan, the result of brainstorming sessions taking place between council and city staff for the past few months. Among the topics raised in the plan is evaluating the future of Fountain Park, working to identify more ways to bring people together, at parks and potential central meeting places.
