Creve Coeur Honors City Employees Of The Year In Hawaiian Style

Introducing the Employees of the Year for 2011.

Employees at the traded their holiday best for luau leis Friday, as city staff came together at the Government Center for an annual holiday recognition event. 

The Viewfinder was there, as City Clerk Debbie Ryan was honored as the city's Full Time Employee of the Year, credited with among other things, helping move city recordkeeping into the paperless era, obtaining the highest level certification available to city clerks in the state, and having "aced" the exam to be a registered parliamentarian of Roberts Rules of Order.

The city also recognized Nathan Pflantz as the Part-Time Employee of the Year. Pflantz works at the , where he has risen through the ranks to become a Head Supervisor at the City Ice Arena. In his remarks, City Administrator Mark Perkins credited Pflantz with learning about all aspects of the Dielmann complex and being proactive in ways that have saved money for the city.

Pflantz is a student at the University of Missouri-St. Louis studying electrical engineering.
