Election Filing Update: Kistner weighing re-election

Ward One councilwoman will be the final member to declare intentions.

Creve Coeur's City Council will have at least one new face after next April's elections due to term limits regardless of the who wins at the polls. City voters will know in a few weeks if that number could be larger. , current members Robert Haddenhorst and Robert Hoffman filed to retain their seats, and Tara Nealey has said she is likely to file for re-election.

On Wednesday, Creve Coeur Patch spoke with Ward One Councilwoman Beth Kistner, who said she has collected the petition signatures necessary to file, but is still weighing the time commitment that comes with elected office along with a new job with St. John's Mercy Health Care. She said a final decision is likely a few weeks away.

Scott Saunders, currently on the city Planning and Zoning Commission, was first to file for a council seat Tuesday. Laura Bryant cannot run for re-election in Ward Four due to term limits.
