Ladue Road to Close at Woods Mills Road Friday

Closure was planned for earlier in the week but was delayed because of weather conditions.

Commuters making their way into and out of Creve Coeur will want to take note of construction work planned for Olive Blvd. and the east half of Ladue Road at the Woods Mill Road intersection later this week.

Weather permitting, after Friday morning rush hour, drivers will detour around the closure using a new portion of Woods Mill Road. It will temporarily connect to Woods Mill Road at the signal in front of , according to a news release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Drivers will be able to use the existing stretch of Woods Mill Road to reach the western half of Ladue Road and enter the Green Trails subdivision.

The road will be closed for several months. Crews with contractor Fred Weber will use the time to complete the roadwork and bridges needed for the new interchange between Woods Mill Road and Ladue Road, the release stated.

The closure was originally slated to begin on Tuesday, but the weekend’s snow and weather forecasts for the rest of the week postponed the closure, the release said.

MoDOT also plans to open a new entrance from Toredor Drive to Olive Boulevard this week. The opening is slated for Thursday before the evening rush hour.

A section of Olive Boulevard will be restriped as part of the shift to the new entrance, the release states. The new entrance is about 400 feet east of the existing entrance. The existing entrance will be removed to construct the Olive Boulevard and Woods Mill Road interchange later this spring.
