Live Meeting Blog: Creve Coeur Planning and Zoning Commission

City board talked about Plaza Motors proposal and "downtown" zoning discussion.

7:00 pm The meeting is called to order. First up is a public hearing regarding a request from Plaza Motor Co. for an amendment to signage proposals on its campus. City Planner Whitney Kelly is answering questions from board members.

7:17 pm Plaza Motors' John Capps is answering questions from commission members. He says the dealership is making the request for signage changes to help customers figure out where certified pre-owned vehicles are sold on the Olive Blvd. campus. Capps says the banners proposed for light poles on the property are similar to the banners that visitors to the BJC West campus see. The changes are also in light of new vehicle lines planned to be sold at the property.

7:58 pm The Planning and Zoning Commission approves a revised proposal allowing a Plaza Motor Co. signage plan, provided it calls for a monument-style sign not to exceed 16 square feet instead of 4 banner ads proposed for light poles, among other amendments.
