Participate 2012: Council Incumbents File On First Day

Four Creve Coeur City Council seats are up for election in April

The fiing period for the April 2012 municipal election season is officially open, and in Creve Coeur, Tuesday's first day to do so saw a pair of incumbents make their bids for re-election to city council official.

Ward 3 Councilman Robert Hoffman, was first in line Tuesday morning.

Around noon, Ward 4 Councilwoman Jeanne Rhoades arrived to submit her paperwork to run for what would be her final term on council if elected, due to city charter term limits.

Rhoades has been outspoken when it comes to issues of transparency involving city activity, especially in recent years with the handling of . Rhoades told Patch Tuesday that while the economy has slowed down the pace of development proposals which have led to land use controversies in recent years, there is still a need for financial accountability.

Council members David Kreuter (Ward 1) and A.J. Wang (Ward 2) have indicated they will run for re-election but had not filed by late Wednesday morning.
