Senior Living Facility Back On City's Agenda Monday Night

A public hearing which was continued when neighbors of the proposed Spectrum Retirement Community raised questions and concerns, will resume Monday night in Creve Coeur.

In hopes of addressing concerns over parking and privacy by a neighboring condo development, Spectrum Retirement Communities will be back before the City of Creve Coeur's Planning and Zoning Commission Monday night.

The Colorado firm has proposed a 4-story, 90 bed assisted living center on Decker Lane.

, but did have concerns over the amount of parking planned on site as well as a lack of privacy when it came to a neighboring parking garage and pool.

The hearing was continued in order to allow Spectrum to work directly with its potential new neigbors to address problems. A Spectrum memo in Monday night's meeting notes indicates a meeting took place August 13 with the board of Summit Lofts in an effort to reach an agreement. 

Spectrum indicated that it had already started the process of reaching out to other neighbors in the area who could provide overflow parking on higher-traffic holidays, including Mother's Day.
