Other facts

I grew up, raised my children, and made my home in the 71st District. I've been continually involved in my community throughout my life, gaining the insight and experience that I want to take to Jeff City as your State Representative. The climate in Jeff City isn't always a positive one. To be effective requires the ability to communicate with a variety of factions and personalities. You can operate independently and within your party, but you need to establish your own identity, free of any predecessors or colleagues. I'm a proud Democrat and will not deny my Democratic roots to win a point. But I am my own person and I have the ability to communicate with people of opposing views, the ability to disagree without being disagreeable. It takes a person with the ability to ask questions, get answers and generate solutions. Should you elect me as your State Representative, I can promise you that I will work to get around the nonsense and generate real solutions.
