According to a MoDOT news release Monday, the brief cancellation is due to the Indepenence Day holiday.
Blasting and the approximately 15-minute long lane closures are expected to resume Thursday. They take place in both directions of I-270 from Interstate 44 to Manchester Road. The road closes at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. each weekday, to blast rock south of Dougherty Ferry Road.

MoDOT urges drivers to use alternate routes and adjust travel times during the lane closures.
"Motorists should avoid I-270 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays if possible," MoDOT previously stated in a news release.
MoDOT has also increased signage around the work zones in an effort to make motorists more aware of the interstate closures and traffic delays.
The closures are then set to continue weekdays throughout the summer.
