THE GLANTZ ADMINISTRATION ETHICS TEST

At this Monday Night Council Meeting, The Creve Coeur Council will vote on a text amendment proposed by the KOMAN GROUP to allow a 127" setback from the Olive street curb in the empty lot in front of their buildings across from the CVS Pharmacy.
The purpose of this amendment is to allow THE FRESH MARKET to build a building with the auto parking and the building's receiving dock to face Olive Blvd. This dock is usually on the rear of buildings but Koman does not want to look at it?
Both the P&Z Committee and the Director of Community Development have voted to turn this proposal down
After last Council I asked in an Email whether Mayor Glantz who received a campaign contribution though KOMAN's Yogurt Shop and Councilperson Kramer who received a $1000.00 on the day of the election from KOMAN were going to recuse themselves?
NO ANSWER TO DATE.
We are currently checking to determine who else on the Council has received campaign contributions or other contributions directly or indirectly from the KOMAN Group. We will report.
When money is given to campaigns the giver expects that the elected official will vote on issues which the entity favors. Regardless of the tortured, legalistic, rationalizations of why that contribution is not material; Money given, is Favor expected in this world!
The Mayor noted when he accepted the position that Mayor Dielmann's shoes would be hard to fill. Wrong, Mr. Mayor, the real question is whether you have the political courage to step out of his shoes!!!
Monday night is the real ETHICS TEST for you and the members of Council who took campaign contributions from the KOMAN Group.
There are plenty of empty chairs out there in the public audience section available and I hope that you and all of the other members of the Council that took campaign money from the KOMAN GROUP will be sitting out there with me.
Where is Donna Dill when you need her???
