“Ellen Abramson became a survivor of cardiac arrest at the age of 51. She has made it her mission to speak to women and help them understand that heart disease is their greatest health risk while educating them on prevention. In her book, she, her family, and the emergency room doctor that revived her share their memories of her frightening story of cardiac arrest….”

This is an amazing little book! Ellen not only tells her story in a funny, touching manner, but draws on the experiences of her family and friends as she went through the terrifying procedures to save her life. The background to the storyline is not overdone or pedantic, the event itself is captured with raw emotion. All women would be wise to heed Ellen’s words on the potentially deadly consequences of ignoring their own health issues.

As a bonus, the book is filled with real-life examples and solutions to the often underreported issue of women and heart health.

Ellen is a local St. Louis author, and will be signing copies of her book at All on the Same Page Bookstore on March 31, 1:00-3:00 p.m.
